A GROUP of 45 keen sailors who take to Bewl Water each week are celebrating a quarter of a century together. Known as The Midweekers, the group meet every Wednesday throughout the year and enjoy ‘casual sailing, with the odd pub sail or silly games on the water’.
To mark the event, they celebrated with a glass of bubbly and a celebration cake [pictured below] last Wednesday [August 30]. The sailing sessions are well supported
and anyone is welcome to join the group.
Even for those without a boat, there is often an opportunity to crew for someone else.
