Around 17,000 gathered at Dunorlan Park for one of Tunbridge Wells’ biggest ever events Pub in the Park.
The food and music festival, created by Michelin Star chef Tom Kerridge, was headlined by popstars Tom Odell, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Mel C and Billy Ocean last weekend, kicking off on Friday, July 6.
Visitors enjoyed temperatures of 26C across the five sessions, which on Saturday and Sunday were split between the afternoon and evenings to avoid overcrowding.
And football fans were not disappointed, with organisers showing England’s World Cup quarter final with Sweden on the park’s big screen.
Mr Kerridge also joined culinary greats Daniel Clifford and Paul Ainsworth in showing off their cooking skills.
Amazing
Afterwards, Mr Kerridge said: ‘What an amazing weekend we have had at Dunorlan Park to celebrate some of the UK’s finest food and music.
‘We had some incredible acts on the main stage and we were graced with a host of world class chefs, who had a blast serving everyone their pub grub menus.
‘The weather was gloriously sunny all weekend. To top it all off we played a great game against Sweden.
‘Thank you Tunbridge Wells for having us.’
Pub in the Park was held in Marlow for the first time last year and returned this year with Tunbridge Wells a new town to be added, alongside Knutsford in Cheshire.
Organisers have not confirmed if the event will return in 2019.
Before the weekend, some had registered concern about how roads would cope and if the hot weather could cause problems.
But despite no parking spaces on offer at Dunorlan itself, organisers said their traffic plan worked and that ‘plenty of water’ was on offer throughout.
