South & South-East In Bloom judges Barry Newman and Ian White arrived this summer, and were followed a week later by Britain in Bloom judges Rae Beckwith and Dale Hector.
The regional awards will be announced on September 13, with the national verdict to be released on October 25.

Last year, Tunbridge Wells won a Silver Gilt award in the Britain in Bloom finals in the Large Town category.
It was the first time the town has been recognised at national level since 2012, when it won a Silver medal. However, it has not entered the national competition every year.
The town also secured the Gold award for the South and South-East regional competition, an accolade which they have achieved for the past seven years.
Helen Timms, Parks and Sports Team Administrator for Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, said: “The judges give nothing away but both days went well. They made lots of positive comments about the town, and were impressed with the developments in Tunbridge Wells and also with our community participation.
“They are always impressed with the Common, asking lots and lots of questions. Thank goodness we have Steve Budden from the Commons Conservators to answer them!”
She added: “We had to change our route this year because of the works in Mount Pleasant Road, which meant we had the opportunity to show the judges a new area – Trinity Theatre – and the great work that their volunteers do in the gardens.”
Another new feature of the tour was Sherborne Close in Hawkenbury. Among the other highlights was a display at Lloyds Bank in Mount Pleasant Road celebrating 50 years of the moon landing.
