Colin Offord of East Peckham wore his Christmas jumper for a week on the Southeastern service between London and Hastings.
Tor Edwards, Head of Communications for the Hospice, said: “We are sure that commuters and tourists alike were warmed by his cheery smile and kindness.
“Colin’s jazzy Christmas jumper definitely livened up the grey and miserable wintery mornings on the trains. We’d like to thank him and all the passengers who supported us.”
He was inspired by one of his colleagues who regularly collects for charity and managed to raise £1,735.94 for the Hospice.
