A bumper weekend of Easter holiday fun is sure to entertain all of the family at Brands Hatch on 26-28 March, with the opening rounds of the British Truck Racing Championship the star attraction.
The giants of motorsport will be in Kent with up to ten thrilling races for the 1,000 horsepower five-tonne beasts. It’s the opening rounds of their 2016 season, so expect to see duelling at up to 100mph and plenty of bumping and barging as the drivers fight for position!
The event also includes a huge programme of support races, featuring the best of British motorsport, including a new series for aspiring British Touring Car stars, US-style Pickup Trucks, the Legends Cars Championship for miniature 1930s Hot Rod replicas, plus saloon car races.
The excitement continues off the track with a feast of family entertainment set to appeal to all ages. The trucking theme includes a huge display of show trucks, which will also be taking part in a track parade and you can see the racing trucks close-up with a VIP-style gridwalk on Easter Monday.
Adrenaline junkies will thrill at the sight of the Swamp Thing Monster Truck unleashing its power on Easter Monday or you can jump on board the Red Dragon Monster Truck for the ultimate joyride, whilst younger fans can take the wheel of the Mini Monster Truck Mania trucks around a dedicated course.
There’s even a chance to get in the thick of the racing action with go-karts, and there will also be an assortment of fairground rides.
Younger racegoers can also enjoy the free Kidspace tent with children’s entertainers and activities, including face painting in return for a £1 donation to Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust. There’s also a soft play tent for the youngest fans, and an adventure playground will be open all weekend.
