The Picture House Cinema and Restaurant in Uckfield has become the first cinema in Sussex to be licensed for weddings.
Over the years the Picture House Cinema in Uckfield has played host to countless first dates, multiple proposals and with many tales of lasting love – one local couple who had their first date in the cinema and have now been married for 50 years. The evolution to a wedding venue seems like a natural next step for this location of love.
The 102 year old cinema is now licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies, with the intimate Screen 2 available to hire for a weddings. Screen 2 can hold up to 75 guests with comfortable tiered seating so everyone can see the special moment. It has a stage area for the ceremony plus use of the screen and after the ceremony, the popular Picture House Restaurant can cater for wedding receptions.
