The 3H Fund has been named the winner of the £1,000 charity award offered by the Times of Tunbridge Wells in partnership with Vodafone.
The charity, based in Speldhurst, arranges subsidised group holidays for disabled people, with grants for those on low incomes.
They also provide respite for carers through a partnership with Burrswood Health and Wellbeing in Groombridge, offering a day of rest and relaxation in tranquil surroundings.
3H Charity Manager Lynne Loving said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this award. This funding will go directly into sending local carers to Burrswood.
“This is so special for them because most carers are 24/7. It is a hugely stressful life and it’s really difficult to get time off.
“I think everyone can empathise with carers. Not everyone has experience with disability, but most will have done some caring in their life.”
The funding forms part of the Vodafone Community Connection Awards, which were launched nationwide in 2014 to mark the expansion of the telecoms company.
