Amazing. That’s the only word we can think of to describe the response to the campaign that we launched last week to highlight all that’s great about the town where we live and work.
We asked businesses and organisations to register their support for We Believe in Tunbridge Wells (#WeBelieveTWells) in an effort to counter those who only see negatives instead off positives; those who talk down the town instead of talking it up.
The feedback suggests we have hit the spot;
“Well done – something positive and at last a breath of fresh air! Fed up with all the whingeing… let’s look forward and love where we live.” Alan Harvey-Legg, member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
“Congratulations for creating such a positive campaign that the town can get behind.” Charlotte Eberlein, solicitors Thomson Snell and Passmore.
“We pledge our support for your campaign highlighting the many positive aspects of living and working in Tunbridge Wells.” Bob Heapy CEO Town and Country Housing.
“Well done – let’s shout about all the great things happening in our town.” Nicky Blanchard, Royal Victoria Place.
“Couldn’t be more in favour of your positive approach – totally supportive.” Julian Leefe-Griffths Tunbridge Wells Hotel.
Developer Dandara and award winning Framptons Cafe & Bar have also come aboard while others have been quick to use #WeBelieveTWells including: RTW Round Table, the Forum, Camden Centre and Rendezvous-Vous.
Then there was the email from Sally Holdstock: “You have missed a trick in reaching out to [just] organisations and businesses. What about people like me. A commuter who loves the town and supports shops, restaurants and bars week in week out.”
A sentiment echoed by others which is why this week we’re inviting everyone to support the campaign – individuals, businesses and organisations. It costs nothing, just a few minutes to register you’re support for a positive initiative about our town.
Tell us what you like about Tunbridge Wells or how your business might benefit from the £500millin being spent on the town’s biggest ‘facelift’ in our history with more than half a dozen exciting developments in the pipeline.
We’ll be featuring all feedback in the coming weeks and months. To help us build a ‘voice’ all you have to do is email us at:
