Lydia Smith was driving a white Ford Fiesta when it was involved in a collision in Tudeley Road at 12.05am on Saturday January 26.
Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where Miss Smith was pronounced deceased.
Ms Smith was from the Tunbridge Wells area and had attended St Gregory’s Catholic School.
Her family issued a statement saying: “Our beautiful daughter, Lydia, the light of our lives, was cherished and much-loved.
“She was a ray of sunshine, a beautiful person loved by many, and she will leave an unfillable void in our lives.”
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which took place close to the junction with Postern Lane near the Schools at Somerhill and also involved a white Volkswagen Passat.
The driver of the Passat and a passenger were taken to hospital with injuries which have been described as not life-threatening.
