Discover the enchantment of the festive season at Bewl Water, nestled in the picturesque village of Lamberhurst. Known as the largest reservoir in southeast England, the team is spreading a little extra holiday cheer this year with an exclusive 20% discount on children’s tickets for their brand-new attraction, ‘Christmas at Bewl Water’
Since its grand opening on November 19, this magical wonderland has become a hub of celebration, beginning with a heart-warming charity event.
Local organisations, including the Young Lives Foundation, Gingerbread, ellenor, and The Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre, were honoured with complimentary tickets for their dedicated staff, volunteers, friends, and family, providing a sneak peek into the festive fun on offer.
Sue McGowan of West Kent British Heart Foundation expressed her gratitude to SO magazine, saying: “I am so grateful for the generosity of the team here at Bewl Water. We have been blown away by the attention to detail and just how much the kids loved the crafts and storytelling. It really was a special event for us all.”
In the spirit of giving, Bewl Water is extending the festive joy with a 20% discount on children’s tickets, valid for sessions until December 17. Parents can unlock these savings by entering the access code ‘XMAS20’ during the checkout process. Moreover, two special dates, December 14 and 15, offer tickets at half price.
To immerse yourself in the festive fun, book your sessions online at christmas.bewlwater.co.uk, ensuring your family arrives two hours before the scheduled slot to enjoy everything on offer.
The adventure begins with a stroll through a frosted, starlit woodland, leading to a Narnia-inspired wardrobe. Beyond its doors lies Fairytale Land, where towering storybooks and beanstalks come to life. Capture precious moments in Candy Land, where giant nutcrackers and lollypops await, filling little hearts with joy.
Interactive wonderlands aside, children can also explore themed play zones and take part in a variety of festive workshops – all included in the ticket price.
Mrs Claus’ bakery invites them to decorate scrumptious gingerbread, Santa’s post office allows them to write heartfelt letters, and the Elves’ workshop offers the chance to dive into Christmas crafts. Children can even mix a special recipe for Rudolph and his dedicated crew and see a magical performance by the elves!
Despite being in its first year, Christmas at Bewl Water has seen overwhelming demand, with peak time slots nearly fully booked.
Sunisa Avery, Creative Manager, shared her excitement, saying: “The first two weeks since our opening have been brilliant, and the responses from charities, young visitors, and their families have been fantastic.
“We’ve received enquiries from older siblings, parents, and young couples too, all eager to join in the festive fun,” she continued.
“In response, we’ve introduced a new ticket option at less than half the price, making it accessible for everyone.”
Recently released ‘day tickets’ for Christmas at Bewl Water are priced at £15 per person, providing access to all festive activities featured in general admission. Notably, these tickets exclude a visit to Santa’s Grotto, making them an ideal choice for parents, older siblings, or young couples looking for a fun and festive date night.
Grab your hats and scarves as whilst mostly under marquees, Christmas at Bewl Water is an outdoor event, where you’ll wander through a dazzling light tunnel, toast marshmallows, and indulge in festive treats from the traditional alpine-inspired village.
