Mille Fleurs is a specialist hat shop and millinery studio based in the idyllic Kent village of Otford, just outside Sevenoaks. Established in 1997, that designs and makes beautiful hats and headpieces on-site using traditional millinery techniques.
“Offering a bespoke millinery service, you choose the outfit, we design the headpiece to suit, taking into careful consideration colour and style, venue, face shape and proportions, hairstyle, balance and, of course, your personality,” explains Mille Fleurs’ owner Gill Stratton.
“We create a hat that’s handcrafted exclusively for you – a piece that so many of our clients go on to cherish, reuse or have redesigned for many years afterwards.”
Gill adds that traditional skills are always used, which have been learned from the very best in British millinery, in order to create all of Mille Fleurs’ occasion hats.
“We hand block and stitch each piece from start to finish; hand-dye all straws, silks, and feathers to perfectly match and/or complement your outfit choice. The result is a beautiful, unique creation you will wear with confidence,” adds Gill.
