CHANGES to Arriva bus services in and around Tunbridge Wells are to be unveiled at a public meeting in the town on Thursday, March 23.
The local team will be hosting the event at the Royal Victoria Place from 9am to 8pm to explain the changes, which come into effect from April 2.
The overhaul includes an improvement of Service 7, between Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone to ensure a bus every 20 minutes during the week, later operating times and a better Sunday service.
In addition, the 402 will run every ten minutes Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge town centres.
Service 277, between Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Knights Park, North Farm, Sherwood, town centre, Old West Station, will run every 20 minutes morning peak services, alongside increased Sunday services.
The 218/219 and 281 routes will also see improvements to their Sunday operations.
Andy Isbell of Arriva Southern Counties said: “”We have been carrying out a thorough review of our operations throughout the Tunbridge Wells area to see how we can further improve the reliability and punctuality of our services.
“That review has identified a number of routes where simplifying and streamlining the service and re-routing some to avoid congestion bottlenecks will bring big benefits for our passengers.”
