STAFF at law firm Cripps raised £3,100 for charity by walking, cycling and rowing a combined distance of 7,000 miles in a six-week Triathlon Challenge.
The company, which has offices in Tunbridge Wells, Kings Hill and London, undertook the challenge for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the firm’s charity of the year.
Rather than the conventional swim, cycle and run triathlon, staff were encouraged to
clock up 4,200 miles – which is the distance of the world’s longest triathlon – by
alternative means.
This was achieved through the late summer and autumn by static rowing, completing the Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk and in the firm’s own 100km Tour De Cripps cycle ride.
Trainee solicitor Mollie Ferguson, one of the main organisers of the triathlon, said: “We
are delighted that so many members of staff participated in and supported this event. One individual completed more than 600 miles on their own, which is an incredible
achievement.”
The team were challenged to clock up 4,200 in the six weeks but did so in four. If you would like to donate, search for Cripps LLP at www.justgiving.com
