Pyjama party is eye-opener for making sure babies sleep safely

A PYJAMA Day fundraising event was held at Bright Horizons nursery in Tunbridge Wells on March 13 to spread awareness about Safer Sleep Week.

Baby Annabell, the UK’s best-selling large doll brand, and The Lullaby Trust charity joined forces with Bright Horizons to hold the party at the nursery in Newcomen Road.

Children attended in their pyjamas to play with My First Baby Annabell dolls, listen to stories, do some colouring and eat cupcakes, while parents were given advice on how to make safer sleep decisions.

Launched in 2015, Safer Sleep Week is The Lullaby Trust’s campaign to raise awareness about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome [SIDS] and equip parents with proven steps on how to reduce the chance of SIDS occurring.

Marian Davis, Marketing Manager for Zapf Creation’s Baby Annabell products, said of the doll and campaign: “Baby Annabell aims to encourage learning and development through imaginative play.

“We are engaging with families throughout the UK to spread awareness for such a worthwhile and important campaign as The Lullaby Trust’s Safer Sleep Week.”

With a soft body and small size, My First Baby Annabell is an approved sleep companion for very young children.

The Lullaby Trust also offers emotional support for bereaved families. For more information about the charity’s activities, visit www.lullabytrust.org.uk
