THE Tonbridge children’s charity Tree of Hope is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a Dine and Donate campaign to raise funds.
It is calling on supporters to ‘host a lunch, brunch, dinner, afternoon tea or even a cocktails and canape party’, adding: “There’s no limit to the idea or theme – the more inventive the better.”Â
A number of local residents have already held dinner parties over the festive period on behalf of Tree of Hope.Â
The Old Fire Station is staging the first large-scale event on Friday January 26 with guest chefs Daniel Britten, a former MasterChef quarter-finalist, and actor Jimi Mistry.
The crowdfunding charity supports children with disability or illness by helping their families to raise the money to pay for specialist care that is not freely available on the NHS.
Gill Gibb, Tree of Hope’s Chief Executive, says: “We’ve been helping families for 25 years but we still have a lot of families to reach. Dine and Donate aims to increase -awareness of what Tree of Hope does and all of the children we support.
“To help us continue our work supporting families to get the vital medical treatment, equipment and therapy their children need, Dine and Donate aims to raise funds so that we can support more and more families.”

The chefs include patissier Eric Lanlard, TV personality Simon Rimmer, chocolatier Paul A Young and actress Wendi Peters.Â
